Mike Regan comes to UZURV with a rich and diverse background in global business and regulatory policy.
From 2001 to 2016, Mr. Regan served as the Executive Vice President of Global Public Policy for News Corp./21st Century Fox. In this capacity, he directly advised Mr. Rupert Murdoch and the senior management team and helped advance the business objectives for a leading global media and entertainment company operating on six continents and reaching more than 1.8 billion subscribers in 50 local languages.
From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Regan was the Executive Vice President of External Affairs for NextWave Telecom Inc., a U.S. based national mobile provider of CDMA standard service. Mr. Regan ran the corporate communications, advocacy and investor relations teams.
From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Regan was Senior Media and Telecommunications Counsel to the Energy and Commerce Committee of the U.S. Congress. He led the House of Representatives body of the Congress in the negotiation of the landmark 1992 Cable Regulation Act, the 1993 Spectrum Allocation Act and the seminal 1996 Telecommunications Act, the only rewrite of the original 1934 law.
With thirty years of government and private sector experience he has a wealth of knowledge in U.S. and global regulatory policy. He is well positioned to navigate the new and complicated world of SMART transportation.
