User Guide: English Language Screening

To keep UZURV an accessible, reliable, and safe platform, all drivers are required to complete a brief English Language Screening. This assessment will review your basic proficiency in communicating with riders and UZURV staff in English during the course of a ride.

You’ll have 30 minutes to complete 10 questions, and you can only take the screening once. You will automatically fail if you do not complete the assessment within the time limit.

Basic proficiency in the English language is necessary to ensure a safe ride experience. For that reason, drivers who fail to demonstrate this level of proficiency will not be eligible to drive on the UZURV platform.

How to access your screening

Once all onboarding documents have been approved, the English Language Screening will become available in the the Screenings section of your Drive app.

You should also receive an email from no-reply@uzurv.com with the subject line “Next Step: UZURV English Language Screening.” This will have your personal access link to the assessment.

Before you begin, please be sure to have a:

  • Quiet area without distractions
  • Strong internet connection
  • Device that can record video and audio clearly

When you are done…

Make sure to hit submit after answering all questions so that your assessment can be scored right away. Your results will be emailed to you when you are finished — you must successfully complete the assessment to move forward with onboarding.

If you were unsuccessful in demonstrating English proficiency, you will not be able to continue onboarding. However, you can try again after 6 months if you are still interested in UZURV.
