Rider Community Standards

In order to support safe, accessible, and comfortable service on UZURV rides, all passengers (including riders, Personal Care Attendants, other passengers, and children) should:

  • Treat all UZURV personnel, drivers, and passengers with courtesy.
  • Cancel any unneeded trips as soon as possible to free up drivers for other riders in need of transportation.
  • Board in the backseat of the UZURV vehicle in a timely manner. If you have a disability or health-related condition that makes it necessary for you to ride in the front passenger seat on UZURV, contact either UZURV or the sponsoring transportation program ahead of your scheduled trip.
  • Remain seated while the vehicle is in motion and wear a seatbelt or the provided mobility device securement system. Your driver is able to provide assistance with seatbelts and securement systems upon request.
  • Adhere to all UZURV and sponsoring transportation program policies and procedures, including fare payment, any applicable rules and procedures for storing a mobility device, having your mobility device secured within the vehicle, use of the seatbelts, the use of child safety seats for small children, traveling with a service animal, etc.
  • Refrain from eating, drinking, or taking medication when riding in a UZURV vehicle unless medically necessary.
  • Use earbuds or headphones when listening, or playing games on any mobile or electronic device. This will help your driver to maintain their focus on safe driving, and it will preserve a quality experience for any other passengers sharing your ride.
  • Follow all driver requests and instructions, and particularly those pertaining to safety.
  • Take any personal items, reading materials, trash and other items out of the vehicle. This will help your driver maintain a clean and welcoming environment for their next passenger. If you inadvertently leave an item behind, contact your sponsoring transportation program or UZURV to try to have it returned.   • Wear shoes and appropriate clothing.

Prohibited Conduct

The following actions and conduct are strictly prohibited  Any passenger (including riders, Personal Care Attendants, children, or any other passengers) who engage in any of the following may be subject to loss of access to the UZURV platform in UZURV’s sole discretion, and to any other actions which the company may deem appropriate, including civil or legal action and/or referral to the sponsoring transportation program and/or to an appropriate law enforcement agency, depending on circumstances and severity. By participating in a UZURV ride, you explicitly agree that you are subject to these prohibitions.

  • Excessive swearing, or making offensive, abusive or derogatory remarks or gestures, or threatening violence toward other riders, drivers, or other UZURV personnel. This includes phone calls with UZURV support teams.
  • Making comments or jokes, or sharing printed, digital, audio, or visual content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or degrading to any individual or group, based on any factor, including race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, disability, or national origin.
  • Engaging in any inappropriate physical contact with any other passengers or the UZURV driver, including grabbing, groping, kissing, hugging, pushing, shoving, hitting, etc. This prohibition does not apply to assistance which drivers may provide at the request of riders, such as assisting a passenger to sit or stand, guiding a passenger between the vehicle and the door, or providing support to a passenger entering or exiting the vehicle.
  • Consuming alcoholic beverages, or controlled substances when riding in a vehicle operating on the UZURV platform.
  • Smoking cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, marijuana, pipe tobacco, and using vape pens when riding in a vehicle operating on the UZURV platform.
  • Except where permitted by state or local laws or ordinances, transporting weapons, explosives, or flammable materials.
  • Urinating or defecating in the vehicle.
  • Allowing other individuals to travel on UZURV, using your account. Unless the trip is cancelled, the UZURV eligible rider for whom the trip is booked must take the trip.
  • Exiting the vehicle mid-trip or requesting a driver to drop the rider off anywhere besides the scheduled drop off location.
  • Arranging rides with UZURV drivers outside the UZURV platform, or intentionally manipulating trip details to funnel trips to, or from, specific drivers. This prohibition does not include the use of platform features that allow riders to rate, favor, or un-favor drivers. It also does not prohibit riders from utilizing other transportation platforms where UZURV drivers may also provide service.
  • Violating any law, statute, rule, permit, ordinance or regulation.
