Vehicle Photo Tips
Get your vehicle photo approved quickly by following these photo guidelines.
A clear and recognizable photo of your vehicle is required for the Drive app. This is so riders can easily identify your vehicle at pick-up. Make sure to use a photo that meets the requirements below.
OK:
Front, passenger-side angle
Entire vehicle is visible
One vehicle
Good lighting
In-focus
Front license plate is properly installed (for states requiring a front plate)
Public parking lot or deck
Simple, non-distracting background
Not OK:
Wrong angle
Too dark
Vehicle not within frame
More than one vehicle
Missing front plate (for states requiring a front plate)
People or distracting signage in background
Sunshield in front window
Stock photos, photo filters, or AI
Does not meet UZURV platform standards (see below)
NOTE: Vehicles registered in the following states must have a front license plate visible and properly installed in the photo:
- California
- Connecticut
- Illinois
- Iowa
- Maine
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Minnesota
- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- Oregon
- Rhode Island
- Texas
- Virginia
- Washington
- Washington D.C.
- Wisconsin
Remember — to drive on the UZURV platform, your vehicle must be…
- A 4-door car with seating and seat belts for 4 to 8 people (including you).
- 10 model years (2017) or newer (7 model years (2020) in Dallas and Phoenix).
- Clean and free of damage, advertisements, commercial wrapping, or exterior signage.
- In good working condition and able to pass inspection.
Vehicles can NOT…
- Be modified, rentals, pickup trucks, or on a short-term lease.
- Be registered for commercial use.
- Have a salvage, rebuilt, or equivalent title.
