Palm Tran

UZURV Services in Palm Beach County

Palm Tran is the public transit system serving Palm Beach County, Florida. Palm Tran provides Paratransit Connection, a door-to-door paratransit service available for people who qualify under one of three distinct programs:

  • ADA paratransit is available for people who, because of a disability or disabling health condition, to utilize Palm Tran’s fixed-route bus services.
  • Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) services are available to people who, because of age, disability or income status are unable to transport themselves, and are, therefore, “Transportation Disadvantaged.”
  • Palm Beach County Division of Senior Services (DOSS) provides services for Palm Beach County residents who are 60 years of age and above, traveling to and from designated senior centers to access nutrition and other services offered by those centers.

Palm Tran utilizes a privately operated transportation provider, Transdev, to provide most Paratransit Connection trips with a fleet of agency-owned vehicles, drivers and support personnel employed by Transdev. Transdev has partnered with UZURV to provide Paratransit Connection trips during times when other Connection vehicles are unavailable, when service demand is high, and/or for passengers and/or at times and in locations best served by UZURV’s Adaptive TNC service model.

To learn more about Paratransit Connection, including eligibility, areas served, hours of operation, passenger fares, and other service policies, visit the landing page for Paratransit Connection, or call Connection Customer Service on non-holiday weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. by phone at (561) 649-9838, or by TTY using the Florida Relay Service at 711.

Paratransit Connection by UZURV

Who Can Use UZURV?

The Paratransit Connection provider determines which trips to assign to UZURV based on the availability of the Connection fleet, the time and location of the trip, and other scheduling factors. In general, customers who are able to safely board and ride in a sedan or Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), and those who use manual wheelchairs and walkers that can be stored in the trunk or cargo area of a sedan or SUV, will find UZURV service to be accessible and comfortable.

UZURV drivers are able to assist with the storage of mobility devices upon request.

UZURV provides door-to-door transportation with a team of qualified and credentialed drivers who operate their own personal vehicles — much like other Transportation Network Companies (TNCs). Before providing trips, UZURV drivers pass a nationwide background check, a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliant substance abuse test, and must demonstrate knowledge of appropriate techniques for transporting people with disabilities and older adults.
