Creating your UZURV Ride app account
The UZURV Ride app lets you schedule, manage, and track your rides all in one place. In this video, we’ll show you how to register and create your Ride app account.

Once you download and open the app for the first time, you’ll start on the “Home” screen.
You’ll use this screen to create your account and to log in to the app.
Tap and drag or swipe right until you hear, “Sign up button”.
Double tap to move the next screen.

On this screen, you’ll enter your email address. Swipe or drag until you hear, “Email address input. Text field required.” Double tap to activate the keyboard and enter your email address.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. Main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

On this screen, you’ll enter your phone number. Swipe or drag until you hear, “Phone number input. Text Field. Required.” Double tap to activate the number keypad and enter your phone number.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

On this screen, you’ll enter a password. Passwords are 6 characters long, and must contain one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and either one number or special character… such as an exclamation point.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Password input. Secure text field. Required.” Double tap to activate the keyboard and enter your password.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

Next you will select your birth date. Swipe or Drag until you hear, “Month 1. Button.” Double Tap. You will hear, “Month web dialog. Cancel button.“ Swipe right until you hear the number of your birth month, then double tap to select it.
Perform a four-finger tap near the screen top. You will hear, “Cancel button.” Then, swipe right. You’ll hear, “Confirm button”, Double tap to enter your selection.
To cancel your selection, perform a four-finger tap. When you hear, “Cancel,” you can double tap to cancel.
Repeat this process for your birth date and year.
Once you’ve entered your birth month, date, and year, swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

On this screen, you’ll enter your first name. Swipe or drag until you hear, “First name input. Text field required.” Double tap to activate the keyboard and enter your first name.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

On this screen, you’ll enter your last name. Swipe or drag until you hear, “Last name input. Text field required.” Double tap to activate the keyboard and enter your last name.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

On this screen, you’ll enter your Customer ID. This is the same ID you use to schedule a ride. If you don’t have one, email ridersupport@uzurv.com to get help.
If you do know your Customer ID, swipe or drag until you hear, “Customer ID input. Text field required.” Double tap to activate the keyboard and enter your Customer ID.
Swipe or drag until you hear, “Next button. End. main.” Double tap to continue to the next screen.

The next screen will tell you if the app was able to locate your account. Swipe right until you hear, “We found an account associated with…” Swipe right again to hear the program name. If this is your account, swipe right until you hear, “Yes, that is my account. Button.” Then, double tap to confirm your account and continue.
Otherwise, swipe right again and you’ll hear, “No, that is not mine. Button.” Double tap to go to the Support screen. Swipe right until you hear, “Phone icon. Contact support button”. Double tap to call our rider support team.

The next page will provide a summary of your account information. Swipe right repeatedly or two-finger swipe down to review your info. When you hear, “Finish button. End. Main.”, double tap to continue.

Your account has been created. Next, you’ll need to verify your email address. Check your email account for a verification message sent from the app.
Once you’ve verified your email address, swipe right or drag down. When you hear, “Continue button”, double tap.
If you need the app to resend the verification email, swipe or drag until you hear, “Resend Verification button. End. Main.” then double tap. Check your email inbox for your verification email.

On the next screen, swipe right until you hear, “Your account has been verified.” Swipe right again to hear, “Get Started button.” then double tap.

Next, you’ll enable notifications. This is a helpful way to get notified about rides you’ve scheduled. Swipe right and you should hear, “UZURV would like to send you notifications to keep you updated on important ride information.” Swipe right again and you’ll hear, “No button.” Double tap now if you’d like to disable notifications. You can always enable them later. Or Swipe right again to hear, “Enable push notifications button”. Double tap here to get notifications from the app.
Your phone may ask you to verify that you want to receive notifications. If so, choose “Allow” or “Yes”.
Congratulations! You can now use the app to schedule and track your UZURV rides.

Scheduling a Reservation
This video will explain how to submit a new ride request for a future reservation.

Once you’ve activated your account, when you launch the UZURV Ride app, you’ll start on the Upcoming Ride requests screen.
You’ll hear, “UZURV Ride. Good morning.” And then your first name.
Swipe right or tap and drag down until you hear, “New Ride Request. Button.” Then, double tap.

You’ll hear, “Schedule Ride.”
Your phone may prompt you to allow UZURV Ride to use location services.
If so, choose, “Yes” or “Allow”.
First, you’ll enter your pickup location.
Swipe right or tap and drag until you hear, “Pickup location. Choose location…”. Then double tap.

You’re now on the Pickup location screen with the location field active.
You’ll hear, “Location. Text field is editing. Enter pickup location. Insertion point at start.”
On this screen, you have several options to choose a pickup location.
You can use the keyboard to type the address where you’d like to be picked up into the location field.

Then tap and drag down to hear a list of verified pickup locations.
When you hear your address, double tap to enter it.

You’ll return to the Pickup location screen.
Swipe right until you hear, “Home. Description. Add home location. Button.”
This option lets you save your home address for quick access. Double tap.

You’ll hear, “Location. Text field is editing. List end. Enter an address…”
Use the keyboard to enter your home address.

Then tap and drag down until you hear your address.
Double tap to save your home address and return to the Pickup Location screen.

Now, you can easily choose your home address as a pickup location.
Swipe right or tap and drag until you hear, “Home. Description.”
And then you’ll hear your address.
Double tap now if you want to use your home address as the pickup location.
You can save any address as a favorite location for future use.
On the Pickup Location screen, swipe right or tap and drag down until you hear, “Favorites. Button.”
Double tap to go to the Favorite Locations screen.

Swipe right or tap and drag down until you hear, “Add Favorite Locations. Button.”
Double tap to go to the Add Favorite Location Screen.

Use the Location input field to type your address then tap and drag to choose it from the list as before.
Double tap and you’ll hear “Location name. Text field is editing.”

Now you’ll need to use the keyboard to give the location a name. For example, “Work” or “Office.”
Once you’re done, swipe right until you hear, “Save. Button.”
Double tap and you’ll return to the Favorite Locations screen.

You can swipe right or tap and drag to hear and double tap to select one of your locations.

Finally, you can choose your current location as a pickup location.
From the Pickup Location screen, swipe right or tap and drag down until you hear, “Current location. Button.”
Double tap and the app will set your current location address as the pickup location.

You’ll return to the Schedule Ride screen and hear the screen reader say your address.
Next, you’ll choose a drop-off location.
Swipe right or tap and drag until you hear, “Drop-off location. Description. Choose location. Button.”
Double tap to go to the Drop-off Location screen.

You’ll hear, “Location. Text field is editing. Enter drop-off location.”
Just like choosing a pick-up location, you can use the keyboard to input an address.
Or swipe right or tap and drag down to select your home location, other favorite locations…
Or choose your current location.

When finished, you’ll return to the Schedule Ride screen.
Next, you’ll choose a date for your ride.
Swipe right until you hear, “Pickup Date.”
Swipe right again and you’ll hear today’s date.
Continuing to swipe right, you’ll hear tomorrow, and the next day’s date.
Double tap on a date option to select it.
To choose a custom date, swipe right until you hear, “Choose custom date.”

Double tap and use the calendar selection tool to choose and confirm a date.

Next you’ll choose a pickup time. Swipe right until you hear “Pickup Time”.
Swipe right again and you’ll hear, “Choose time. Button.”
Double tap to activate the time selection tool.

Swipe left and right to switch between hours, minutes, and a time of day.
Swipe up or down to change the value of each.
Swipe left Until you hear, “Confirm.” Then double tap to confirm.

Next, you’ll choose which type of vehicle you’d like.
Swipe right until you hear, “Choose vehicle type.”
Continue swiping right to hear a list of available vehicle types.
Double tap to select the one that meets your needs.

Next, choose the number of passengers that will be in the vehicle. (Including you.)
Swipe right and you’ll hear the currently selected number of passengers.
Double tap to open the picker and choose the desired number and confirm.

Continue to swipe right until you hear, “Payment.”
Swipe right again and you’ll hear the current selected payment method.
Swipe right again to hear your estimated fare amount.
Note that your program may not have a fare.
Swipe right again and you’ll hear, “Display payment details. Collapsed. Button.”
Double tap if you want to expand the payment details section.
Then continue swiping right to change your payment method, if applicable.
Or to see a detailed breakdown of your fare.
The app also lets you add a note for your driver.
You can use this feature to tell your driver any helpful details about where to pick you up.
To add a Driver Note, swipe right until you hear, “Add driver note. Button.”
Then, double tap.

Double tap to activate the keyboard input and type your note.

Swipe right and you’ll hear, “Done. Button.”
Double tap to enter your note.

Once you have provided your reservation information, you are ready to submit your ride request.
Swipe right until you hear, “Confirm and request Ride now. Button.”
Then double tap to confirm.

When you do, you’ll hear, “Ride request sent.”
Continue swiping right to hear a summary of your scheduled ride.
When you hear, “Cancel ride. Button.”, you may double tap to cancel this ride.
When you hear, “Add another. Button.”, you may double tap to schedule another ride.
When you hear, “Add return trip. Button.”, you may double tap to schedule a ride from your drop off location back to your pick up location.
When you hear, “I’m Done.”, double tap to return to the upcoming rides screen.

Continue swiping right, you’ll hear a list of your upcoming rides sorted by month.
Double tap on a scheduled ride

and continue swiping right to hear ride status and details.
You can also cancel the ride request from this screen.

Transcript: Canceling a Reservation (for screen readers)

Sometimes things come up, appointments are canceled, or you simply don’t need a ride anymore. The good news is that, when you need to cancel, you can easily do so with the UZURV Ride app. You have the convenience of canceling a ride in seconds without having to call support for help.
This video will explain how to use the UZURV Ride app to cancel a ride.

If you need to cancel an upcoming reservation, go to the app’s Upcoming Rides tab. You can locate this tab from the app home screen. You’ll know you’re on the home screen by swiping left until you hear, “Good afternoon…” and then your first name.
Swipe right until you hear, “Selected. Upcoming. Tab 1 of 3.” If you did not hear, “Selected”, double-tap to select the “Upcoming” tab.
Swipe right until you hear the ride you’d like to cancel. Then double-tap.

You’ll hear, “Ride details.” Continue swiping right to hear more ride status and details.
Keep swiping right until you hear, “Cancel Request. Button.” Then double-tap.

You’ll hear, “Are you sure you want to cancel your ride?”
Swipe right to hear, “No. Button.” Select this option if you don’t want to cancel.
Swipe right again to hear, “Yes, cancel. Button.” Select this option to cancel your reservation.

When you do, the app will take you back to the home screen with the Upcoming Rides tab selected. The reservation you canceled will no longer be listed as an upcoming ride. You may also get a notification that the ride was canceled on your phone. You’re all set.
As stated in your program’s guidelines, a last-minute cancellation could incur a penalty. Repeated last-minute cancellations could result in suspension from the UZURV platform. You can learn more about your program’s cancellation policy by contacting your program provider or support@uzurv.com.
