California Vehicle Inspection

California state law requires an in-person vehicle safety inspection every year or every 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Here’s how to schedule a FREE vehicle inspection if you need one:

• • Tap on one of our preferred inspection partners below and follow the instructions to schedule and complete your vehicle inspection.
    • Pep Boys
    • Valvoline
    • Jiffy Lube
  • Upload your completed vehicle inspection form in your Drive app.
  • Enter your expiration date one year from the inspection date. All inspections are good for one year or every 50,000 miles.
  • Be sure to complete a new inspection if you add 50,000 miles to your mileage before the year is up.

• The only way to receive a free vehicle inspection is through Pep Boys, Valvoline, or Jiffy Lube. Drivers who complete an inspection at another station are responsible for the cost.
• UZURV does NOT pay for nor reimburse repairs or replacement items required to pass the inspection.
• Drivers who submit fraudulent inspection documents will be removed from the platform and will NOT be eligible to become a UZURV Driver.

California Mileage Certification

California law requires a State of California Mileage Self-Certification Form to be filled out and signed every August or every 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is a requirement regardless of when your state inspection was performed.

*Please mark electric only if your vehicle is 100% electric. Mark GAS if you have a hybrid.

Vehicle Registration

Please upload an image of your full vehicle registration that includes both halves of the registration identification card, showing your name as well as your vehicle information.

This requirement is not complete unless both halves of the registration are included in the image, as depicted below.

MSI Vehicle Inspection

All drivers must renew their MSI Vehicle Inspection annually. Here’s how to schedule a free Maryland Safety Inspection if you need one:

• • Pep Boys
    • Schedule your inspection with one of these Pep Boys MSI-certified locations.
    • At your appointment, tell them you are with UZURV. Then provide the Fleet Code: 80537426 and Part Number: PN4836. Your inspection is free ONLY if you provide the fleet code and part number.
  • AAA
    • Schedule your inspection with a AAA location near you.
    • At your appointment:
      • Tell them you are with UZURV. Show this letter and your UZURV Drive app profile (You may show either document on your phone or bring a printed copy of the letter.)
      • Provide the UZURV Account Number: #9998108180 and tell them you want Service Type: #17. Your inspection is free ONLY if you provide the account number and service type.

IMPORTANT:

• • The only way to receive a free MSI is through Pep Boys or AAA. Drivers who complete an MSI at another station are responsible for the cost.
  • UZURV does NOT pay for or reimburse repairs or replacement items required to pass the inspection. AAA offers a discount if you need repairs. For discount, use UZURV Account Number: #9998110309, Service Type: #18.
  • Drivers who submit fraudulent inspection documents will be removed from the platform and will be ineligible to become a UZURV Driver.

UZURV Vehicle Recall Form

MTA requires you to provide a UZURV Vehicle Recall Form annually for each approved vehicle in your app.

Download and fill in the form here. Then upload it to the app.

Fingerprint Background Check

MTA requires a fingerprint background check every three years.

See a list of approved fingerprinting locations near you to schedule your appointment.

Download and fill in the Livescan Pre-registration Application form here. Take it with you to your appointment. After getting fingerprinted, upload a photo of the MD Fingerprinting Receipt within 45 days of completion of your appointment.

CPR & First Aid Certification

Massachusetts TNC Vehicle Inspection

All drivers must renew their Massachusetts TNC Vehicle Inspection annually. TNC inspections cost $15 and are typically performed immediately after your Massachusetts state inspection.

Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical

All Boston drivers must complete a DOT physical every two years (unless your doctor deems otherwise.) It’s free and takes about 30 minutes.

Schedule your physical with EScreen and use UZURVDOT as the code when you schedule your exam.

The City of Las Vegas requires all drivers to renew their Clark County and Nevada State business licenses.

Vehicle Registration

Upload a photo of your renewed registration receipt to the Drive app. Be sure to take a clear, legible photo of the entire registration receipt so that the receipt shows all of the following:

• • Expiration Date
  • Owner Name
  • Plate Type
  • Vehicle Identification Number

You may not use your registration sticker to renew your registration. If you cannot find your registration receipt, you may request a duplicate receipt at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicle website.
